Going out last night for dinner with my sister involved far more beer than was really necessary. Fun? Yes, but I often wonder why I end up with a hangover after what is planned to be a relaxed night out. The person that explained this phenomenon best was Steve Flaherty who pointed out that a man (or woman) who has been banged up in baby jail (i.e. not going out with his mates ‘cos he’s sitting in with the wife and/or kids) for a period of time tends to overindulge on his first night of freedom. Makes sense. Or at least it will in a few hours.
